DANIEL F. LAMESA, P.E.

Dan LaMesa is a Principal of Down To Earth Consulting, LLC and has over 20-years of experience in the consulting and research sectors with a special focus on geotechnical, geostructural, and hydrogeologic engineering. He has collaborated with numerous multidisciplinary design teams to implement successful problem solving strategies by applying sound engineering principles using both traditional and innovative methods. During construction, he has provided construction submittal review and oversight to confirm adherence to design specifications and drawings.

Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, in 2006 and Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Concentration) from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2008. Dan is a registered professional engineer in the States of Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

RAYMOND P. JANEIRO, P.E.

Ray Janeiro is a Principal of Down To Earth Consulting, LLC. He has over 19-years of project management and design experience in many aspects of geotechnical, rock mechanics, construction, and environmental engineering throughout New England. Ray received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Haven and Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Concentration) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research at MIT focused on fracture mechanics in rock materials.

Ray is a registered professional engineer in the States of Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. He recently served as an adjunct professor, teaching the Undergraduate Soil Mechanics course at the University of New Haven, and as technical reviewer for the Journal of Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering.
